Black Wednesday in Egypt

There is plenty of blame to go around for the horrific violence in Egypt. But I agree with Juan Cole that the majority of that blame falls on the shoulders of the military, whose actions since the coup have made it clear that they have no interest in conciliation or national unity but only in crushing the Muslim Brotherhood once and for all.
